How do I sell an item?

Create an account and click the “Sell” button in the header. You can upload photos and fill in information about the item you’re selling.

How do I get paid?

We use PayPal to process payments. Potential buyers may ask questions and make offers on your item ( you will receive an email). If you accept an offer or make a counteroffer, the buyer will be sent a link to check out via PayPal. The money goes directly to your PayPal account after a sale. Please only ship the item once you have confirmed receipt of payment. After the payment has been processed, the buyer’s address will automatically be sent through our messages, and you will receive an email from service@paypal.com with the transaction details. PLEASE DO REMEMBER our website does NOT take any commission fees and will not interfere with your payment process. The buyer is directly in contact with the seller and has to response directly.

How do I change my PayPal email?

To change your PayPal email for an item you have for sale, go to your listing and click “edit this posting.” The email address in the “paypal” field is the one that will receive the funds after a sale.

I accepted an offer on an item I have for sale, when do I get paid?

Although you accepted an offer, the deal is not final until the buyer purchases the item. You should accept as many offers as you like in order to maximize the chances of a sale.

Where do the funds go when I sell an item?

You will immediately receive money in your PayPal account after a buyer purchases your item.

How much does it cost?

This listing looks suspicious, what should I do?

When I attempt to purchase an item, I get a PayPal error. What’s going on?

There are a few reasons this might happen. One of you may have an open PayPal dispute, a misspelled PayPal email, spending limitations based on recent purchases, currency limitations based on location, an open PayPal dispute, or account access limitations based on whether your email and address credentials are verified. We recommend you contact PayPal via their customer service number for your country and ask the seller to do the same. As always, feel free to ask us for help.

I bought an item, but the seller is not responding.

If it’s been less than a week, contact the seller again and give him another day or two to respond. If the seller does not respond, we recommend filing a PayPal dispute so that you can get your money back. Let us know if you need any help with that.

I purchased a fake item, how do I get my money back?

Awayn has a zero tolerance policy for fake items. Please report it to us immediately. We will assist you in filing a PayPal dispute/claim against the seller in order to recover your money. You can file a PayPal claim on PayPal.com, or by calling their customer service number for your respective country as well.

I received an item I purchased and it did not come as described, how do I get a refund?

If you buy something on Awayn and the description does not accurately describe the item in terms of authenticity, color, condition, fabric and/or measurement, then we recommend reaching out to the seller for a mutually satisfactory resolution. If you are unable to work it out with the seller, we can assist you in filing a PayPal claim to securely receive a portion or all of your money back.

What if there is an issue with the transaction? (Seller does not ship item, item is damaged, etc.)

All payments onAwayn are done safely through PayPal. PayPal has a fantastic buyer and seller protection. If there is any issue with the transaction, the buyer and seller should try to work out a mutual agreement for a partial or full refund. If the issue is still not resolved, you should file a PayPal claim in order to securely recover your money. If that still does not resolve the issue Awayn will mediate a resolution.

Who is in charge of paying for international duties and taxes?

International shipments may be subject to duties and taxes depending on the item being shipped and the countries of the sending and receiving parties. Payment for all duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer or receiving a party at the time of delivery.
