Located a couple of miles NW of Glen Canyon Dam on US89, this small rise affords a better than anticipated 360 view of the Lake Powell Area.
The massive Lake Powell is created behind the Glen Canyon Dam by the Colorado River inflow and its tributaries into the canyon country of southern Utah and northern Arizona. A sweeping view of the Wahweap bay and marina, the Navajo mountain in the clouds to the north-east, the coal-fired Navajo power station to the east, and the upper rim of the dam, the bridge and Page, Arizona to the southeast, is gained here at a view just across the Arizona border.
