If this gem was located anywhere else it would be gated off and charged admission. The cave is situated at the end of a narrow inlet and accessed by stairs from both sides of the cliff tops. The cave itself is impressive enough but follow the roofed walkway into a seperate chamber and you are treated to a magnificent site of a waterfall pouring in from the small stream above. It’s been subtly lit so you can take pictures etc.If you’ve made it this far then of equal worth is to cross the road from the car park and you’ll see a small footbridge crossing the point where the waterfall actually begins and disappears into the cave below. This stopping point on the NC500 is well worth allocating an hour for.
