Teatown's nearly 15 miles of trails are used by over 10,000 hikers each year for nature study and other outdoor enjoyment (e.g. jogging, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing) and many of our year-round educational activities, including our summer nature camp. Teatown maintains 14 trails through a variety of terrain and habitats, including abundant fields, mixed hardwood forests, laurel groves, lakes, streams, swamps and farmland. The trails range from easy / novice to difficult to moderate. The preserve of Teatown offers visitors a unique insight into the biological diversity of the whole lower Hudson Valley region.
Teatown also provides many lectures and workshops for all ages. Check the website for details. Visits are free for all, and the preserve is open every day. There is a small charge for non-members for the lectures.
Teatown will charge $5 to non-members for parking on weekends and holidays.Dogs must be leashed at all times.
Owners must bag dog waste and dispose of in a trash receptacle.
Professional dog walkers with more than 2 dogs are not allowed.
