Hike to Lago di Barcis

The artificial lake of Barcis, located in the heart of Valcellina, welcomes visitors with the brilliant green of its water and offers to everybody a world of possibility of fun.

The lake is stunning when the sun is out! Water turns into a light blue and it crates an amazing landscape with the surrounding mountains. It is quite cold in later winter early spring, so experience the lake in summer!  We suggest the full walk around the lake, by crossing the bridge at the north end and taking a left. You'll see a path a ways up the road. Not a difficult hike, and it leads you to another path, up to overlook the dam. My favorite time to visit is Autumn; Red leaves, and green still water.
