Sde Boker (Hebrew: שְׂדֵה בּוֹקֵר, lit. Herding Field) is a kibbutz in the Negev desert of southern Israel. Best known as the retirement home of Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, it falls under the jurisdiction of Ramat Negev Regional Council. In 2015 it had a population of 440. Sde Boker Halukim Loop is a 16.1 mile loop trail located near Midreshet Ben-Gurion, HaDarom. You can both climb and bike ride this loop. We had a stop in Ben Gurion National Park in the Sde Boker College area that allowed us to see the tombs of David and Paula Ben Gurion. Look out and promenade reveal the breathtaking views of Zin Valley.
