Playa del Cable's urban beach, directly adjacent to Marbella's industrial port, is nearly deserted at midday. This is because Spaniards, who are known for taking their siesta very seriously, will find you here mainly. However, the beach is filling up from 6 pm. Families complete the day under the beach umbrellas they brought with them, sports enthusiasts run around on the volleyball courts and football pitches, and the chiringuitos fill up with young people who want to enjoy the nightlife and live music.
The beach is not just long, but also wide in many places. The water was warm and clear such that you can see all sorts of fish swimming around. The different shades of blue are striking. The sand is tan and soft.
