Amazing bands of color representing millions of years in development. Beautiful, mesmerizing hoodoos. Started with the 11 mile drive around the park. Plenty of camp sites and trails for all levels. Biking and hiking. The trails are great, have various levels. The lighthouse trail was crowded, little fox trail was nice change, hardly anyone on it. Red Rojo and juniper canyon side were fun for the intermediate level person. They have a color coded map that lists the various levels of difficulty, be sure and check it out. We tried to do an advanced level but was too steep, we did not have the physical conditioning for it, so stuck to trail map descriptions. Bring plenty of water. The canyon is usually warmer than in the city. In the afternoon there were lots of flies that were attracted to us when we would stop. Just beautiful and amazing. Lots of other bikers were also using hard tails.
