Multnomah Falls is a breathtaking attraction that is easy to access from the I-84.The walk ( climb) to the top is worth the uphill trek! It is long , it is straight up but well worth it. I'm not in great shape and have foot issues but we took lots of breaks and trekking poles help a ton.If you are in the area or traveling near, I would suggest this attraction! However, as other reviewers have suggested, I would check to ensure that they are open before you make the trip. I would also suggest going when they first open and packing a lunch and some water (it is a SERIOUS hike to the top, however, you can stop at the bridge to enjoy a close of the waterfall, take pictures and then head back down for lunch). If you want to make the hike to the top of the mountain, it may be a good idea to wear sneakers!Summer months can be busy with visitors; during the winter months, dress accordingly – the mist from the falls and the wind from the Gorge makes a cold day even colder!
