Definitely plan for at least 3 nights and 4 days. Be mindful of high tides. Parts are impassible during high tides. Low tides gives you the ability to see beautiful tide pools and speeds up your hiking time due to walking on compacted sand. Don't forget to stop and take in the sights. For the camping trip well first watch out for stinging nettles and poison oak to go with your ticks. There are relatively few camping options on the ridges. The best camping options tend to be on the beaches and these can get *extremely* crowded on peak weekends. I can NOT emphasize more PLEASE PLEASE CHECK THE TIDES CHART!
