View from the Archduke's Trail, which starts in the village of Valldemossa on the island of Mallorca, Spain. The views on this hike were astounding and the trail was impressively built, commissioned by an Archduke who lived on an estate in the area in the late 1800s. Great views at end of ascending steps, which are difficult for the elderly and impossible for wheel chairs (unfortunately). Great photo opportunities and a chance to breathe in some nice clean air. Certainly worth the trip up the "long and winding road" but beware as the small car park gets extremely busy at peak times. Would not bother to travel on to Cap De Formentor as these views are far better and the onward trip is not justified given what awaits you at the Cap. The small beach at Formentor is however well worth a visit. As previously noted you need to be wary the swarms of cyclists up the inclines but nonetheless very well worth seeing.
