Kilbeg Pier in Ireland

Kilbeg is the narrowest lake point that lies west of Knockferry. Pier reminds of the former days on the lake. The lake is not much used now except for the anglers or pleasure sake boat experiencing, though used heavily in the past for ferries that travelled routinely between Cong and Galway. In 1914, the steamer St. Patrick operated from Galway to Cong and was on demand as the schedule used to be three days a week.
